Motor Vehicle Software Corporation (dba Vitu) in Chicago, Illinois seeks a qualified Software Development Team Lead to deliver C# .NET-based software services for use in a Service Oriented Architecture in Agile environment, participating in all stages of software development including design, implementation, testing and maintenance of geographically distributed web services based on Microsoft .NET platform and SQL technologies. The individual will deliver multiple software projects simultaneously; set up standards and procedures for development; and onboard, coach and mentor new team members (but will not have hire/fire/discipline authority).
This Software Development Team Lead position requires a Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development including requirements analysis (2 years), integration (1 year), enhancement (1 year), maintenance (1 year), and testing (1 year). In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development including requirements analysis (2 years), integration (1 year), enhancement (1 year), maintenance (1 year), and testing (1 year).
In addition, the applicant must have each of the following: 3 years leading a software development team; 3 years developing web-oriented applications including C# .NET; 3 years using SQL technologies; 3 years working with network protocols; 2 years working with vehicle registration or title company; 1 year working with electronic vehicle registration rules and regulations; and 1 year working with geographically distributed web services. Experience may be gained concurrently. Must have excellent communication skills.
