Motor Vehicle Software Corporation (dba Vitu) seeks qualified Senior Software Engineers (multiple positions available) in Agoura Hills, CA to lead teams within our Registration and Title Information Group. The Senior Software Engineer will develop and implement C# .NET-based software services for use in a Service Oriented Architecture; evaluate and perform design tradeoffs regarding the architecture and software components; develop distributed grid applications in a network centric architecture; and implement algorithms and develop systems for information retrieval, information extraction, text mining, and/or related areas in the context of large online delivery environments. The Senior Software Engineer will lead a team of 5-7 software engineers.
This Senior Software Engineer position requires a Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development including requirements analysis (2 years), integration (1 year), enhancement (1 year), maintenance (1 year), and testing (1 year). In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development including requirements analysis (2 years), integration (1 year), enhancement (1 year), maintenance (1 year), and testing (1 year).
In addition, the applicant must have each of the following: a) 3 years in each of the following: leading a software development team; developing web-oriented applications including C# .NET; and using SQL technologies. b) 3 years working with network protocols. c) 3 years working with Python or PowerShell scripting languages. d) 2 years of experience working with a vehicle registration or title company. e) 1 year of experience with California’s electronic vehicle registration rules and regulations (AB 1215). f) 1 year working with geographically distributed systems.
